Hawaiian Islands

Hawaii is everyone's favourite place to travel with surf, sunshine & shopping there is something for everyone. But deciding which Island to visit can be a hard choice. This blog will give you a bit of info on each island to hopefully point you in the direction of the perfect island for your Hawaiian Holiday. 

Hawaii The Big Island - The island of adventure with the power of nature, here you will find Hawaii's only active Volcano. Hire a car and take a drive through the Volcanoes National Park on the Hilo side of the island. If you are wanting the ultimate relaxation and resorts be sure to enjoy one of the beautiful resorts up in Waikoloa. Hawaiian culture is at its finest at the Pu'uhouna o Honaunau National Historic Park right on the beachfront. 

Kauai - The Garden Isle. Kauai is the green island, tropical and wild with rainforest covered cliffs and cascading waterfalls. Waimea Canyon is the biggest attraction on the island. Known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, about a 30 min drive from the Poipu area. 

A lot of the larger resorts are located on the Princeville area of the island or in Poipu. 

The famous Na Pali Coastline is a must see when on the island. You can either do the 23km hike alons the coastline or take the easier boat cruise. The boat cruises leave from Port Allen and cruise along the famed coastline. 

Maui - Been voted the best island in the world multiple years. Lahaina town is one of the cutest on Maui hosting an array of wild bars, restaurants and shopping. Lahaina is also a popular area for tourist resorts and beautiful beaches. Majority of the resorts being right on the beachfront. Snorkelling with the turtles at Turtle Cove shoud be at the top of your to do list. Pride of Maui offer day snorkel tours which get up close and personal with these beautiful animals if your lucky. The Road to Hana is also another must do when on Maui. The gorgeous coastline is rainforest one side coastline the other making it one of the most scenic drives in the world. 

Oahu - Mostly popular with tourists. Waikiki beach is the main tourist area of Oahu about 10mins from Honolulu. Diamond Head Crater is a 30 min walk to the summit which offers amazing views of Waikiki and $3.00 entry. Pearl Harbour is a great attraction for those who enjoy history. Hire a car and drive up the north shore stopping in at Kualoa Ranch - where hollywood movies are set. Keep travelling around the coast to Banzai Pipeline known for its killer surf. On the way back into Waikiki stop at Dole Pineapple plantation.
