Universal Studios Orlando

Universal Studios Orlando takes about 20 mins to get to Universal from the Grande Resort which is where we were staying.
Parking is $20 per day and is undercovered and secured. You follow the escalators up to the main gate then walk through the "downtown" area which is just outside the park but has restaurants, sports bars, shops etc.
There are 2 parks Universal Studios and Island of Adventure. We did Universal Studios first. Its a good idea to catch the Harry Potter train betwee the 2 parks.
They have the largest coaster here called the Hollywood Rip ride rock it. They also have the Mummy ride - which is a bit different to the version in L.A. We walked through the themed San Francisco which had some places to eat mostly. Then went to the Men in Black ride which you sit in a car and use lasers to try and shoot at things very similar to the very popular Toy Story ride in Disneyland. There is also Krustyland which is a Simpsons themed village with the 3D ride and Moe's and other places to eat and sideshow games. Here you may also be lucky enough to meet the Simpsons characters that tend to hang around that area during the day.
The E.T ride is pretty cute, you get to ride in little bicycles.
We then went through to the Harry Potter world which is themed so well. Its very busy though to tryand get there early in the morning. It is by far the busiest part of the whole park. You then catch the Hogwartz express across to the next park. There is another Harry Potter theme in the next park and the Hippogriff ride. The comic world is awesome with another food court to eat at also. Then they have super hero island where the Hulk ride is and you can meet with your favourite superheros. There is also Dr Seuss themed section too which is more themed for kids but i still enjoyed it.
We travelled in November and the park was busy but still very enoyable and didn't feel crowded.
There were lots a characters to meet and the lines were no longer than 20 mins for any ride all day. We had an awesome day.
Compared to Disneyland in Orlando you will find Universal lines moved a lot quicker and there were less people. A bit more enjoyable if you don't like crowds.
