Disney Magic Kingdom

Disney Magic Kingdom is the main park in Orlando and the traditional park.
This is how we spent our day at Disney Magic Kingdom last year.
We arrived at Disney Magic Kingdom at 8:45. Parking is $20 per day. There are 2 ways to get to the main park entrance either catch the monorail shuttle or the ferry across to the main park.
The whole park had recently been decorated in its Christmas theme ready for the festive season.
We went to Tomorrowland which is the next generation rides. We did the Buzz Lazer ride then used the fast pass to do the Space Mountain ride – a rollercoaster all in the darkness.
Your ticket includes 3 fast pass rides which you can pre book prior to your arrival. Not all rides are on the fast pass but you can save yourself a lot of time by using your 3 fast passes.

We went up to Fantasyland to the circus tent and had pictures with fortune teller Daisy, Burlesque Minnie, Snake Charmer Donald and Stuntman Goofy. They are all under the same roof and you have to line up for each character. Takes about 40 mins per character.
This is at the top end of the park

We then went and did the Mad Hatter’s tea party tea- cups. Its not a trip to Disney without going on the tea cups. The line moves pretty quickly.
All of the rides in the park were in excess of 60 mins all day. Some were nearly a 2 hour wait. This was a tuesday in low season so it can be a good idea to go to Disney Magic Kingdom for 2 days.
We waited 1hr 10 mins for the Tomorrowland Speedway where you can drive your own mini car on a guided track.
We waited for 40 mins to meet Winnie the Pooh & Tigger then used our fastpass to do the Pooh’s honeypot adventure.

Disney Main Street is the main social area of the park and where you will find a lot of characters. There are also lots of food stalls, disney souvenir stores and shops along main street.
Make sure you stay for the parade which features all of your favourite disney characters.

We had some lunch in Frontierland which is the cowboy and western themed section of the park. After lunch we went back to adventure land and did the jungle cruise. We walked down the Main St which has lots of places to eat, Disney souvenir shops and other kinds of shops. As always the food is quite expensive but thats to be expected.
We crossed the park and went to do the Splash Mountain Ride. You will get wet!
We waited an hour to meet Mickey Mouse who was interactive and actually spoke to you. It’s a new innovation Disney are trialling with their characters and should be rolled out in all parks in the up coming years.

It was dark by the time we got out of our Mickey session and we went up and did the Snow White mine train as the line had gone down to 15 mins from 2 hour lines during the day.
We did the Peter Pan ride last before leaving the park at 7:30pm.
The Disney Castle is all lit up in Christmas lights at night and looks beautiful.

As this is the main park the lines are out of control all day and the amount of people in the park is insane. There really should be a limit on how many people in the park per day.

However if you are a disney lover then you will be in your element and love it.
Be sure to bring your patience with you and inner child.
