Hilton Waikoloa Village

If you are looking for the ultimate beachfront resort for your next holiday then the Hilton Waikoloa Village is the place for you.
Located on the Hawaiian Island of Hawaii - a 45 min flight from Honolulu and 30 min drive from Kona Airport on the stunning Kohala Coast.

This resort is mindblowing and will leave you wishing you never had to leave.
The Hilton Waikoloa Village is on  62-acres of oceanfront resort.
Four-acre ocean-fed lagoon with a white sand beach and watersports.
Three pools featuring waterfalls, a 175-foot waterslide and an adults-only pool.
Legends of Hawaii Luau – Our Big Island Story
Dolphin Quest—swim, feed, play with dolphins
World class Kohala Spa Award-winning dining with unique restaurants and bars
Two championship golf courses
Mahogany canal boats & air-conditioned trams for transportation within the resort
Great resort shopping, some of the best on the island

The rooms are large and spacious with all the modern amenities.
You can choose from a garden view room or treat yourselves to an Oceanview room or even an Oceanfront room in 3 accommodation towers. The Palace Tower, Lagoon Tower and Ocean Tower.
The resort is so large a monorail system runs a loop around the resort making it easier to get you and your luggage to your room quicker.
If you are in a more leisurely mode you can choose to ride the canal boats for a scenic ride around the grounds.

The resort has a lagoon which is open to the ocean allowing fish and turtles to enter the lagoon making some great snorkelling right in the resort grounds. The first time i stayed here we saw a turtle swimming in the lagoon. Let's just say that it made my day!

There are so many activities to keep you busy at the Hilton Waikoloa Village you can easily spend a week here and not even need to leave the resort.
However should you wish to leave there is the King and Queens shops only a 15 min walk up the street with restaurants and convenience stores.
The property is located in a very safe neighbourhood and is safe to walk to and from the shops in the evenings.

The property does have a resort fee which can only be paid at the time of arrival.
$35 usd per day + tax will be added to your room charges and paid upon check out.
Parking both valet and self parking is available. However in the summer / peak months parking can be quite difficult and valet parking is sometimes the only option. In this case you are only charged the self parking rates. Parking is from $30 USD per night.

However, if you are staying at the Hilton Waikoloa and you are wanting to go out and explore the big island you will need your own vehicle or at least book day excursions.
There is a concierge desk in the resort too which can help you in making sure you see the best there is to see on the Big Island.

You will truly be astounded by the size of this property and the beautiful grounds. You really have entered a Hawaiian Paradise. Travelling in the months of May and September will find you with a lot less tourists and still some beautiful weather.

The resort is right on the beachfront however the beach itself is quite rocky and not recommended for swimming unless in the man made lagoon which feeds in salt water from the ocean. Make use of the 3 large pools and grotto area which is great for keeping out of the sun on those hot Hawaiian afternoons. You will find plenty of pool lounges to lay out in the sun and lots of beautiful grassed gardens - the perfect place to relax with a book and enjoy the oceanfront views.

I have stayed here at the Hilton Waikoloa Village twice now and every time I visit I love it even more! I highly recommend this place for anyone. It's perfect for the family holiday with loads of activities. Perfect for couples looking for beautiful resort with plenty of places to relax and perfect for those who just want to be close to the ocean.
