Vietnam - Not to Be Missed!

I have just returned from my 6th visit to Vietnam and still love it as much as the first time!
Admittedly there are changes but this vibrant country has something for everyone.
Culture, history, food and shopping, beautiful beaches and the loveliest of people and excellent value for the dollar!
Ho Chi Minh City - I stayed at the stunning The Reverie, excellent location right in the heart of the vibrant and busy city. The French influences are througout Vietnam in the architecture and food influences - the best bread and croissants outside of France! Halong Bay, over 1900 rock formations and a Unesco World Heritage site. The overnight cruise I took on the beautiful Heritage Line, Jasmine, is a perfect way to take in the unspoilt beauty and the staff on board always there, but unobtrusive. Hanoi, the country's capital - the beautiful lake and then the hectic pace of life. The Sofitel Metropole is a perfect example of time gone by - beautiful hotel and gardens. On to the Fusion Maia at Danang on the most beautiful white sand beach and clear warm water. This property offers private pool villas and spa treatments are included in your stay - a perfect way to unwind - once you have checked in, you will not want to leave this hotel to venture outside - simply stunning. Last stop was the Anantara Hoi An. Perfect location for shopping in the world heritage old town with it's famous Japanese Bridge. Beautiful art galleries abound and you can see many artists at work. A must is a visit to "Reaching Out" in Hoi An for authentic arts and crafts handmade by the local people and part of Fair Trade. I hope I have inspired you to look at Vietnam for your next getaway - it truly is a destination for everyone - I cannot wait to return!
