SOUTH AFRICA
In early July 2026 I organised a small group of ladies to join me on a 16 day tour of South Africa.
This tour was one that was already planned by The African Safari Co and allowed 16 people, seven of them were myself and my group.
We did have a 2 days pre-tour to do our own thing so the 1st we went to a lovely shopping centre where we had a very nice lunch, it was so modern and the toilets were extremely clean ( thats a big thing for me as l tend to visit them more than l should ).
Day 2 we went on a hop on/off bus to Sowento, that was an eye opener and great experience.
When we got back we enjoyed dinner at the Irish pub which just happens to be joined onto our hotel.
Now our tour has started and we are very excited, not once did we feel unsafe, the road trips were quite long and the scenery was not really what l expected very mountainous and dry.
We were stopping every 2 hrs for a rest/food stop which we were grateful for.
During our safaris we were so lucky to see all the animals in their natural habitat, what an experience.
All our hotels/resorts were also very nice although some were along way out of the towns, which was fine by me.
You definitely need the 16 days or more to do South Africa, but this tour showed us everything we wanted to see.
