I loved the personal touch Leon offers. Given all the online booking options these days, I was tempted to handle this directly but having an agent simplified the process and gave me peace of mind. Notes for Leon:- My specification of twin beds / two rooms seemed to limit the accommodation choices, (I'm a terrible snorer). I didn't love the bookings at Cradle mountain or Strahan, and might have preferred other options despite the cost. We were lucky with the weather in Tas, until the final two days in Hobart. Launceston was a wonderful city and, in retrospect I'd have preferred another day or two there. Bruny Island was a restful wind-down, although I'd prioritise accommodation proximate to the only general store rather than other sights, as we needed to shop for something every day. And finally, if I were planning the trip again, I'd insert an overnight stay somewhere between Strahan and Huen Valley, as the drive was longer than I'd like on a rambling-style holiday.

We recently travelled to Bali with a group of eight adults and five children, Leon & Jess were amazing! Everything was well organised including the air travel, accommodation and transfers to the resort. We would definitely book with MTA Travel again.

My daughter and I had a wonderful trip over to Canada which was organized by Leon. Our Globus tour started in Toronto and ended in Vancouver. It was a mixture of coach and train which we really enjoyed. The tour director Scott was very informative in a fun way, he looked after everyone and introduced us to Canadian cuisine e.g. Tim Hortons and maple biscuits. What an amazing country. Will definitely go back to see more of this very diverse beautiful country. Absolutely loved visiting the Glazier and Banff. Leon provided suggestions which really enhanced our holiday plus his organisation of flights, accommodation and tour made it very seamless for my daughter and I.

Our trip took us to Norway, where we were visiting our daughter and her family. During our 3-month stay, though, we also took ourselves off on a side-trip to England, Ireland and Copenhagen. Leon booked all of our flights (a total of 9 flights, using four different carriers) and it all went without a hitch. We have recently returned from a 9 day Gulf Savannah Tour in the Gulf country of North Queensland. Leon was most helpful in getting it organised and was always available to help with any queries. I've just returned from a very enjoyable three-week trip in Africa. More specifically, it was two trips - one to Botswana, and one to Kenya. Both trips were small-group safaris, but quite different in style and execution, and operated by different companies. Leon helped me to plan the trips, and then booked the entire adventure for me. This involved dealing with both tour companies, recommending and co-ordinating flights and extra hotel bookings, and arranging travel insurance. It was quite a complicated and time-sensitive itinerary, and Leon's knowledge was invaluable in ensuring everything worked without a hitch. Leon did his usual brilliant job for us by arranging our first 3 nights in Queenstown at the Bella Vista Motel which was in easy walking distance to the Gondola, the town centre and the TSS Earnslaw which he also booked for us. From there we drove to Te Anau where Leon had booked us two nights accommodation plus a cruise on Doubtful Sound. After that we freelanced until two nights before our return flight home from Auckland and because we had expressed a desire to be in walking distance to cafes and restaurants he booked us into the Ramada Manakau which turned out to be ideal. Together with flights and car rental which he also organised we were very, very happy with everything he arranged! Can only recommend him in the very highest terms!

Re European tour Sept 1 to Oct 5, 2023. Just returned from another wonderful tour organised by Leon. The weather was virtually 5 weeks of sunshine, a great time to travel overseas. This trip was a rail tour of Holland Germany Little France Austria Bavaria and Switzerland. Highly recommend the rail, after working out the German language. A few days in each beautiful city, which gave us time to do our own tours and tours Leon organised. Our last week was a 7 day river cruise Passau to Budapest which was on the opulent SS Maria Theresa Uniworld ship. Just a beautiful cruise. I’m not a lover of cruise ships but enjoyed this one but unfortunately finished with a bout of asthma. Highlights Munich Octoberfest (didn’t know it was on until we got there) Love love love Lucerne and Switzerland though so expensive. Jungraujoch top of Europe to Jungfrau Glacier Swiss Alps(Greg’s favourite) Stopover at Dubai on way home. Highly recommend the Gold Marhaba meet and assist services at Dubai airport which is kilometres long. We were taken thru all the customs, our luggage collected within minutes of landing and bypassed the long rows waiting to go thru security and a chauffeur driven car supplied by Emirates. While in Dubai we highly recommend Leon’s Desert experience, 4 wheel drive over the sand dunes, camel rides and beautiful dinner in the desert. Yes at 71 and 76 Greg and I rode camels. Thanks again Leon, your attention to detail made our trip so easy.

Thanks for all your help in finding a suitable trip for my first visit to Türkiye, Leon, and for organising all my bookings, travel insurance etc. The whole trip was trouble-free and I had the best time! The small-group Intrepid minibus tour you found for me was excellent and I highly recommend it. There were many highlights, including the balloon flight in Cappadocia, the boat cruise from Kekova, the storks of Sulcuk, the Ephesus and Hierapolis ruins, and of course the visit to Gallipoli. I would return to Türkiye any time, it was a wonderful experience. Having a week in Istanbul after the two week road trip was definitely the right choice and Istanbul itself is a sublime city - so much to see. And the interactions with the local Turkish people were a delight - everyone I met was kind, helpful, and hospitable. We had an English-speaking guide on the bus tour, and people in hotels, restaurants etc usually spoke some English, but having a rudimentary knowledge of a few basic Turkish words and phrases was helpful and appeared to be appreciated by local people. And the food was delicious, with amazing breakfasts in particular. What's not to love about a culture that offers you, on top of a plethora of healthy dishes, cake and potato fries at breakfast?

What an amazing trip to Scotland and England. When we first landed in Glasgow we felt at ease. Was hard to believe at first that we were actually starting our holiday in a country so steeped in history. Our bus driver Davie and our tour director Andrew were really good and made our tour very enjoyable. Some aspects we feel could have been addressed eg accommodation in Inverness. Upon arriving in London we quickly learnt to adjust our pace. Feeling very tired we were disappointed in our accommodation at the Grand Plaza where the staff at the front had placed us in a unit in the basement, where the outlook was a brick wall. Thanks to Leon who intervened and we were moved to a more suitable room. Walked many miles, saw so much history Highlights would have to be Scotland, walking the mall to Buckingham Palace, seeing the tower bridge opening and visiting Harrods. Thank you Leon. You did an amazing job.

Leon organised everything to perfection, all ran smoothly apart from airline delays (not Leon’s problem!) and Hire car not ideal, Corolla, I should have asked to book an SUV due to difficult egress (again my problem, not Leon’s because I didn’t specify that, but will next time!) Apart from the usual airport hassles and the unusual ones, International terminal and passport control for a domestic flight! We had the best time. The accommodation you booked for us was excellent,well appointed and with friendly, helpful hosts. The weather was a bit iffy but we managed some good long walks through the beautiful scenery without actually getting wet. The airport transfer was fine if we had been looking for the correct bus, Baunti not Bounty, the orientation tours were excellent. Unfortunately, due to this pesky virus, numbers were down everywhere, The Commandants Dinner, which was good fun, only had eleven guests, The Island Fish Fry was well attended and really good, but the Progressive Dinner was cancelled on us due to lack of numbers. Overall we would thoroughly recommend it for a holiday.

Thank you Leon for all of your efforts in arranging our trip to NZ. Your recommendation of Grand Pacific was spot on - no one could expect a better service than we experienced. The flight over on NZ Airlines was very pleasant and included drinks (some alcoholic) & a meal which was quite good considering the circumstances they have to produce them in. We were surprised that our seats included complimentary on board movies. We only realised this when our neighbours had to pay $10 to select some of the more recent movies. Also the seats had more leg room than expected. We were met at Auckland airport by Grand Pacific and transported to our motel which was very grand with a humongous square bed. The tour director (Jo Moore) went above and beyond expectations in all aspects and the coach drivers on each island (they did the commentary and were extremely knowledgeable and informative) were very professional. We really appreciated that they delivered our bags to our rooms and then collected them again each morning. Jo was particularly meticulous in checking that all begs were there before any were loaded onto the bus. We changed seats each day in a system that made sure everyone got a front seat and that you were not seated near the same people all of the time. The inclusions in the tour were really great and the Tour Director always asked who was interested in doing the optional excursions. She would then ring ahead to book you on the tour and made arrangements for us to get us to the particular event right down to being at the take off point to iron out any little problems which may occur. I believe we saw a great cross section of New Zealand and were able to take in all of the main attractions offered in NZ. We had a great lot of co passengers who got on together extremely well and many new friendships were made. ALL IN ALL LEON YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE TOUR COMPANY AND AIRLINES CANNOT BE FAULTED AND WE HAVE NO HESITATION IN RECOMMENDING YOU TO ANYONE FOR ANY TOURS IN AUSTRALIA OR ABROAD. Thank you Leon for organising our trip to Honolulu for 8 wonderful days to celebrate Peter's 50th. The accommodation was perfect for our family and the location was two blocks from the beach. The invaluable knowledge you provided before leaving was excellent. We loved the beach, shopping, scenery, people and the pineapples (they were amazing). The best by far was Pearl Harbour which we visited twice as we didn't have enough time during the tour. The USS Arizona memorial is still not open, but they are hoping to have it open by the end of the year. They still take you on the boat and give a talk but you don't get off..was disappointed, but can't be helped. The night flight over was horrible as we didn't sleep much, but soon forgot when we went for a walk and checked out the area. Had breakfast at 'Barefoot Cafe' as recommended by you, and it was delicious. Would recommend Charley's Taxi from airport to Waikiki as it's a set rate of $29 plus tax - $30.50. There's a free call number provided. They are there waiting at the airport and on our return we rang 30 minutes before needing one and they came to the hotel at the time organised. No noise whatsoever, staff great, we enjoyed the Waterfront Restaurant - utilised the Pantry for breakfast and lunch. Great coffee at all points on the ship. Very prompt and friendly embarking and disembarking. All staff very friendly and compenent. Thank you Leon.

Thanks to Leon for organising our trip to Lord Howe Island. A great destination for a holiday with beautiful scenery, friendly people, and lots of natural attractions to experience on tours, snorkeling, kayaking, walking etc. Accomodation was well located, and the weather was great (until we tried to leave and our plane couldn’t land. Flew home via Sydney minus our luggage!) Overall a great holiday. Highly recommended both Lord Howe, as well as Leon as the travel agent. Climbing Mt Gower was just one of the major highlights.

Hi Leon. Thank you for an effortless holiday. The most stress was what to pack. We had a fantastic time on carnival spirit. so easy getting on and off the ship both in Sydney and day trip destinations. The staff on board the Spirit go out of their way to make everything right for you, from Artwell our waiter at dinner to Wayan our cabin stewart and even Chloe the cruise director take time out to meet and talk to as many people as she can. You have a wide choice of food to choose from and even eating health is not a problem if you choose to. Definitely recommend going to the Nouveau restaurant. The children had a ball. We didn't see our 15 year old son and our 11 year old daughter floated between the kids club, water slide and other fun activity happening on board. The shows on each night where great. The Red Frog bar with the Manilla band playing where great and kid friendly up to 10am, which was perfect because we where ready for bed then. We where not fussed on Noumea but loved the Isle if Pines and Mare. The snorkeling at Mare was beautiful and the sights at the Isle of Pines where just what you expect paradise to be. When Carnival Spirit comes up to Brisbane next year definitely recommend for families. Once again thank you for a hassle free holiday. Angela and the family

Thanks for the welcome home Leon. Had a great trip, the Dreamliner is a much smaller plane and not so many people on board which is great. Because of the fewer numbers we were able to leave both Brisbane and Vancouver earlier as the plane was loaded much quicker. Wouldn't say the food was super but it was adequate and the staff were friendly. I'm still coming to terms with the fact we don't need paperwork to board a plane these days! Cheers Vicki

Great trip and well planned by Leon. The only bits we could not plan were spoilt by Sydney's non-tourist friendly attitude. They need to do a lot of work to improve their image. I think they think it is Sydney so people will come. After Perth and Darwin, they need a lot of work to make the place worth returning to. However well done again Leon. Thank you Leon for organising our Christmas New Year trip. London pre-Christmas was very busy with people Christmas shopping. We fitted in plenty of sightseeing around London, a trip on the river Thames and a night at the theatre (Lion King) which was fantastic. The train trip from London to Paris then Zurich and on to Lucerne was unbelievably quick. It was a grey day but saw the French countryside. Lucerne was beautiful – two days we tripped into the alps - plenty of snow – fantastic scenery and food. Everything went as planned. Hotels top class. Fly to New York – very cold (as low as -20c). Central Park was white – plenty to do and see – every day full with lots of walking (and freezing). Theatre again to see ‘’Cats’’. Train trip to Washington, DC was pleasant. Washington a fantastic place, the Discover DC tour was tops. Would recommend it to anyone going to Washington – lots of history there. Then to Los Angeles – temperature more pleasant and scenery greener. Full day tour (A Day in LA) saw all the main sights. Really top tour and knowledgeable driver. Thank you very much Leon for your expertise in organising flights, rail, transfers, accommodation, day tours and suggestions, Everything was very well organised and went according to plan without any hitches making for a very pleasant holiday.

Thankyou Leon for all the work you did for our holiday. Both Lyn and I enjoyed our time in Tasmania. All our accommodation was excellent. Our two boat trips one around Bruny Is was so exciting, fast and breath taking then we did the trip World Heritage up the Gordon River was again breath taking and much calmer in the big cat. Again thankyou for helping us have a wonderful holiday.

Can't thank you enough Leon for helping organise our "Trip of a lifetime" for Janet and I ..... 4 days in Paris followed with the 5 days in London was a real adventure and we crammed in sooo much, it was so exciting. The trip to Giverny to see Monet's Garden was special as was so many other things... the Louvre Tour, Eiffel Tower Dinner, trip to Colchester and Tollesbury, hop on hop off bus in London.....all memorable with no problems and great tour guides. The accommodation in Paris was spot on!!! as was London!!! great locations and excellent service. The next phase was the Trafalgar 16 day tour of England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales exceeded our expectations with a brilliant Tour Director, Charles, and an equally brilliant Coach Driver, Wayne, set the pace for an exciting and fun tour. Once again, many thanks for your guidance, advise and experience ..... fond memories forever...... shall start planning our next adventure!!!! we are hooked !!!

Every thing went so smoothly. Loved the update messages from MTA about flights. Would highly recommend Slovenia and Croatia to everyone they are amazing. Slovenia would be a great 3 - 4 day stop for anyone traveling to Italy and have a few days spare.

Thank you Leon. Our trip you organized to see Ayers Rock, Kings Canyon and Alice Springs and then our wonderful experience catching the Ghan to Darwin. Your advice was invaluable and made our travels go smoothly and stress free. We had such a great time, the colours of the centre are like no other and seeing Katherine Gorge, Litchfield and Kakadu National Parks was such a memorable holiday. We enjoyed every moment of our time in the Northern Territory.

We have just returned from a business buying trip in Sydney. Leon was exceptional in organizing everything we needed to ensure a successful time away. He suggested flying out of Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport in Toowoomba , which turned out to be hassle free and very convenient. Also his choice of Hotel was excellent . The Holiday Inn Darling Harbour was a lovely hotel to stay at & ideally situated for us to attend The Gift Fair at the Convention Centre , as it was within easy walking distance. It is also very handy to China Town & Paddy's Markets. If you are thinking of doing any travelling , whether it is within Australia or Overseas we can not recommend Leon highly enough. Our first White Christmas rates a 10/10. Canada was the ultimate destination and in particular British Columbia and Alberta and Yukon. We chose Travelmarvel to tour with and we were well looked after. This trip would go down as probably my most memorable with a huge WOW factor attached. From start to finish this holiday was one big continual "pinch me moment". I feel like I'm a bit addicted to Canada in winter but having said that I am really keen to go back in say June when the scenery is entirely different and wildlife is in abundance. A huge thank you to Leon Bruggemann for helping us achieve our dream of a White Christmas. Your planning and advices have never let us down in past holiday projects, and this one was no exception. You're a legend Leon.

Jenny and I have just spent a week in beautiful Vanuatu (Efate, Port Villa). We were looking for 7 days of little more than relaxing and forgetting about our busy year. Leon set us up with everything we needed to make it just that - a relaxing time. It was our first time overseas so you can imagine we were a little unsure of what to expect, but it was so easy. Leon had it all covered. For anyone interested in going to Vanuatu, we would strongly recommend Breakas Resort, especially the beach front villas.
