Hong Kong

I stayed at the Hotel Novotel Hong Kong Nathan Road Kowloon when I was in Hong Kong.

What I loved about Hong Kong was that everything was very accessible. The hotel I stayed at was conveniently located in Kowloon's dining, shopping and entertainment areas. It was just minutes walk from Jordan MTR station and all the major attractions, i.e. Temple Street Night Market and Jade Market, to name a few. The Sky100, Ladies' Market, Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry Clock Tower and main shopping districts were all just an easy walk or short MTR ride away and I must say I was very impressed with the quality of their shopping centers as they were everywhere and very modern.

Every street, alley and corner offered something for the tourist, watches, electronics, clothes, trinkets – you name it – you can find it in Hong Kong. There are many brand name stores which are priced fairly reasonably but the best bargains can be found at all the markets, if you are not too concerned about quality.

Hong Kong is great as a stopover because you can stock up on gifts for family and friends and not deplete the bank book.
