There is so much to say about Vietnam, a magical place steeped in history.

Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)

One of Asia's most vibrant and welcoming cities, Saigon is and exciting place to visit. It is a cultureal melting pot, with a rich yet turbulant history, busting streets, triving markets adn fantastic shopping.

Home to more than 7 million people, Saigon was officially renamed Ho Chi Minh in 1976 in honour of the late leader, though the loclas dont mind if you say Saigon. To realy understand the history, culture and what makes this such an interesting city you need to take at least one local tour.

Saigon is also an excellent base from which to explore the Mekong Selta, the beachesĀ  of Phan Thiet adn a cross border adventure to Cambodia.

Hanoi

Vietnams capital and second larget city, Hanoi is an utterly fascinating place. French influences blend with traditional Vietnamese styles revealing the exciting story of this century old city. No matter if you are a passionate historian or just keen to soak up the city's beauty, you wont be dissapointed. Stroll down tree-lined boulevards, visit temples, and marvel at the exquisite French colonial buildings and the Old Quarter. For more contemporary fun, head to on efo hte shopping malls or enjoy the many entertainment options throughout the city.

Hoi An

One of Vietnams most popular destinations, this UNESCO listed World Heritage Site has a history dating back more than 2000 years. The ancient town is home to many wonderful boutiques and an abundant choice of top quality tailors dotting the quaint streets. Hoi An is only a short drive from the beach resorts giving an ideal combination of cuture and relaxation.

Halong Bay

Halong Bay is serene and beautiful. Known for its emerald green waters bursting with thousands of limestone islands, legend is that when the Vietnamese were fighting Chinese invaders the Gods sent a family of dragons to help. The Dragons began spitting out jewels and jade which turned into islands forming a wall of defence against the invaders.

With just 1600 people living in the area on floating fishing willages, it is a unique and tranquil spot best travelled on a traditional Vietnamese Junk.
