Las Vegas January 2012
What a great place. We explored the city for 8 nights and 9 days. The hotels are amazing.
Bellagio is the pick of the hotels located right in the middle of the strip and thanks to MTA’s exclusive Virtuoso membership I can get hold of some exceptional rates with the added benefits of free upgrade, breakfast daily & gym vouchers.
I stayed at PH Towers, also very centrally located and offers modern fully equipped 2 bedroom apartments with a spectacular view of the Bellagio fountains and the Eiffel Tower!. PH Towers is highly recommended for families or groups.
With Alyson by my side 24/7 we checked out as many hotels and attractions as we could. Each hotel offered a different theme and entertainment. Although mainly an adult’s playground don’t be scared to bring the kids – there are plenty of family friendly attractions and shows. A must see from the many shows on offer is Cirque Du Solie’s ‘O’ . We also enjoyed Viva Elvis and V The Variety show.
The Grand Canyon is definitely worth a trip to from Las Vegas. I highly recommend the Maverick helicopter tour from Las Vegas Airport which includes flights over The Strip & Hoover Dam then a landing in the Canyon for a snack. This is by far the way to go over a road trip which takes up a full day. Just ask me and I will tell you the secret how to get the front seats in the helicopter.
