What to Pack
- Keep in light - what you pack YOU have to carry!
- Mix and Match - Shirts/blouses/ pants, polo tops - casual but comfortable
- Slacks (lightweight cotton) or tights and comfortable walking shoes
- Dressy shirt/blouse for evening wear. Costume jewellery and scarves can help dress up a basic outfit
- Shorts and skirts are comfortable for coach travel and can be cool
- Shoes can take up a lot of room - take a well worn-in pair for walking and a pair that may be used to go out - or buy a nice pair of Italian leather shoes...
- A lightweight pack is great for carrying your sweater, camera, literature, and other goodies while you leave your large bag at the hotel or train station.
- Always carry your passports safely on your body. Don’t forget your glasses for reading
- If noises bother you take a set of earplugs
- Adapters - European countries differ - you may always ask the hotel for an adapter if you don’t have one. These can be purchased at the airport after you have cleared passport control
- On board the aircraft you are allowed only 100ml of any liquid/gel/lip gloss/toothpaste etc. which will fit into a 20cm x 20cm plastic zip sealed bag. Do not buy any water or alcohol as this will be taken from you when you are in transit
- Anything you are unsure of please pack into your suitcase
- Do not pack any flammable liquids, etc. into your checked baggage or hand luggage.
