I have always wanted to be involved in travel ever since I can remember. First it was to be a Flight Attendant. The buzz of being at the airport and on a plane with new people EVERY SINGLE FLIGHT was exciting for me. Unfortunately being a country girl and not a fan of the city, this was never going to happen, unless I did the regional flights but it just wasn't the same. I knew I wanted to be involved with travel in some way and when I saw a job advertisement come up in my local town of Corowa I knew that it was going to be the beginning.
I started at Corowa Travel Link without any experience in the industry when I was 20 and I have been there ever since. I trained on the job and did my diploma and training by correspondence, which for me worked perfectly. In my time I have had some amazing travel experiences and also some not so amazing ones, only for being at the wrong place at the wrong time, but we won't go into that.
Destinations that I've travelled to include USA, Canada, Fiji, New Zealand, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Bali, China, Cruising, Most of Australia etc.
Falling pregnant and having to take maternity leave with my little girl Rubi (now almost 3) has meant that travel had to be put on the back burner for quite some time. Since taking maternity leave I went back working part time/casual. I never wanted to leave the industry but I didn't want to go back working full time either, because as you know, kids grow up way too quick and I didn't want to miss those early years. Rubi has since travelled a couple of times with us and like her mum, I think she will get the travel bug.
That's when I knew MTA was the perfect fit for me. I can work the hours that I need to work yet still be around for Rubi. Personally, looking after anyone's travel requirements in an absolute pleasure to me, whether it's leisure, corporate, cruising, tours, groups, sporting groups, honeymoons. I look after it all and there is not a job too big or too small. The thing I love about MTA is the flexibility it offers. I can come to you, you can come to me, we can meet for a coffee, and you can email, phone or get in contact through social media.
