Susan's clients sharing their experiences
Do yourself a favour and engage Susan Barton to handle your travel arrangements. Susan is ‘simply the best’! I was fortunate to be referred to Susan by a walking tour operator to assist with some messy and complicated asks as part of my 5 week trip to Japan in April 2024 (peak tourist season in Japan). Susan not only filled every ask, but ensured a coordinated itinerary and seamless delivery. Expect a responsive, meticulous, transparent service using local agents who share the same service ethic. The pre-departure information is incredibly comprehensive - truly the best I have ever received. Here’s just one example to demonstrate the quality you can expect: For my Shinkansen from Kyoto to Tokyo, a window seat on the ‘Mount Fuji view’ side of the train had been booked (unsolicited) for me with my travel papers alerting me: ‘Not long past Shizuoka keep your eyes open for the views of Mt. Fuji from the left side windows of the train.’ And right on cue, there she was. Now that’s service! Everything organised by Susan and her local agents was delivered exactly as promised. As a solo traveller, it was comforting to have a 24 hour local contact once in Japan. They actually reached out to me within the first 24 hours of arrival to check in! I have no hesitation recommending Susan, and will engage her for future travel. Arigato gozaimasu Susan!
04 November 2024 at 06:12 pmWe had the most incredible family holiday, all thanks to Sue's expert planning! Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, from the seamless transfers to the perfect hotel recommendations. Each place had its own charm, and Sue’s guidance ensured our trip was smooth, stress-free, and full of amazing experiences. Her recommendations were spot-on, and we couldn’t have asked for a better holiday. I highly recommend Sue for anyone looking to plan a trip—they’ll be in the best hands!
30 September 2024 at 10:35 amHave just arrived back after 4 weeks in Europe. Thank you Sue, all our hotels, tours and transfers were superbly organised. Sue made sure every I and t were crossed. Thank you so much for all your care and support in organising our adventure. Absolute thrilled with your attention to detail.
19 September 2024 at 12:41 amA BIG BIG treemakasi from all of us. This holiday has been nothing short of amazing!!! Everywhere has been so so beautiful. You have definitely chosen the best of the best!
12 September 2024 at 10:15 amHi Susan, Just wanted to thank you for organising the Vietnam holiday for us. We had such a wonderful time, the convenience of having everything organised for you was absolutely amazing and money well spent. We really enjoyed our activities and was so good to have a local contact who could change the activities dates, as there were times when we were tired and wanted to move our tour dates. Also having personal bus and tour guides was fabulous. The hotels were really good. We all liked Somerset in Ho Chi Minh the most as it was very family friendly...had a washing machine and was more of an apartment, which suits a family more. Snorkelling was probably not something we would recommend to Australians, especially those that have been to Great Barrier Reef, this will be very disappointing. It was more a diving tour, and for those that are looking to dive (beginner level) for cheap this may be an option. Otherwise would not recommend it, especially with small children. Again, thank you so much. We definitely want to go back to Vietnam. Now we are looking to go to Japan in January for a skiing trip with another family. Thank you again! Tihana
23 July 2024 at 06:53 pmHaving just returned from a three week trip to Australia, I would like to commend and thank Sue Barton for a job well done. Sue arranged all of our flights, hotel arrangements and mini tours. She advised us on our destinations and remained on call as we traveled from Sydney to Uluru to Hobart Tasmania and back to the USA. We traveled with the security of knowing that Sue was there for us and could help us through any situation. The trip was well planned and came off without a hitch. I will definitely reach out to Sue for help in planning all our future trips. Five stars for Sue Barton!
17 May 2024 at 02:56 amWe have been availing of Sue's expertise for over 16 years now and sincerely applaud her for her patience, advice suggestions & professionalism. She does her utmost to obtain the best fares & timings to suit the individual. Her patience & promptness come to the fore when she has to make changes at a moment's notice, not once but twice in a matter of days as was necessary in my situation. Couldn't be better. I strongly recommend her for all your travel needs.
03 November 2023 at 12:18 pmSue is an absolute delight to work with. While her subject matter expertise and command of the vagaries of airline bookings go without saying, I'd really like to highlight her pro-active and thoughtful suggestions and her (limitless) patience in response to the ebb and flow of complicated international holiday planning. I'll certainly tap into Sue's expertise for all my future overseas travel requirement, and I'd unreservedly recommend her to anyone seeking travel support. Many thanks, Sue, you're a real gem!!
16 October 2023 at 03:58 amSusan recently booked a months trip to Italy for us which was a great success. We did however have to postpone our return flights at very short notice and her courteous, prompt, efficient and thoughtful assistance with this was much appreciated-especially as we were operating through much altered time zones.
06 June 2023 at 12:35 pmSending a large crew overseas is no small task! The pre-arranged notification of the unique requirements of the group and their 28 check-in suitcases was invaluable, as it could easily have overwhelmed someone who didn't know what was coming! I was so relieved to work with airport staff who understood the enormity of the task...it went so smoothly we even laughed together along the way! Thank you for understanding the complexities, your foresight and all your efforts to make such a mammoth check-in process as smooth as it could be!
01 June 2023 at 11:46 amThanks Sue for organising our trip to Antarctica. Your advice and organisation were phenomenal. The end result was a fantastic trip where all the connections worked and the services you recommended were spot on..

20 January 2023 at 01:43 pmSusan is now featured in the NEW BOOK book released 2022 "Freeing My Family" by Sadam Abdusalam & Michael Bradley - the story of one Uyghur man's epic battle to save his wife and son and bring them to Australia. https://www.booktopia.com.au/freeing-my-family-sadam-abdusalam/book/9781761065408.html Sue, I just wanted to say on behalf of all of us, thank you so much!! I Know it was not easy but really your advice and help was so appreciated. I can’t believe we got them a flight at that price, after the horror stories we have been hearing. Your contribution to this mercy mission was invaluable! Soph Sophie McNeill Video-journalist ABC Middle East Bureau
11 January 2023 at 03:42 pmHi Sue, I wanted to thank you again for all your help with getting Michael home to Australia. You truly made the whole process so seamless. Your knowledge was so valuable and I couldnt have done it without you. Thank you so much for your support, guidance and the way you handled the process. Myself and Michael were truly appreciative. Have a great week. Kind Regards, Kim Dunlop
29 June 2022 at 02:11 pmPort Douglas, Australia Thank You Sue, A fantastic trip! Everything around the trip worked great. Snorkeling was the only day in Queensland with clouds, but that was ok, we could still see all the beautiful fishes and corals. The accommodation in Port Douglas was among the best I’ve ever had and thank you for booking Port Douglas. So much nicer than Cairns. We went up to Daintree National Park , Kuranda, Palm Cove – all wonderful. The final was Hunter Valley two nights.
22 January 2020 at 06:57 pmThanks Sue We had a wonderful trip NZ & Fiji Everything you organised for us was spot on We enjoyed the whole experience Looking forwards to next trip !! Best wishes Carole & Albert
30 October 2019 at 12:27 pmSue organised our road trip to Nashville, Memphis to New Orleans. Having done the trip previously herself she was full of great ideas. From the car hire to the excellent accommodation and sightseeing tips, we had the most amazing experience. Thank you Susan. Your friendly attitude certainly made the whole journey a lot easier.
17 September 2019 at 08:12 pmOur Rhine cruise and travel arrangements were organised by Sue this year - our second holiday at using her services. Both times we gave been delighted with the holidays and valued her sensible suggestions regarding the itinerary. In particular the idea that we should arrive a day early in Basel prior to embarkation as this removed all anxiety about missing the boat due to airline issues (which has happened in the past eg Qantas surprise grounding of all flights without notice) I also appreciate her patience with my last minute changes to the arrangements. Although we have been lucky not to have any hiccups in our arrangements it is reassuring to know that we have 24 hour back up in the event that we did. Started to think about next year's holiday and will be asking for suggestions from Sue and placing its organisation in her hands
13 September 2019 at 08:42 amWe have had our plans arranged by Sue for three years now with wonderful results. This includes when we were stranded in Rome airport when the British Air computers had a melt down. We flew to London via Helsinki - missing only a day! This year she organised a family holiday for us in Italy (in a Villa) and then a cruise on Seabourn Encore, which as usual is superb. Next year we are sailing from Singapore to Athens , once again with Seabourn. Who knows what 2021 will bring. Thank you Sue for taking the stress out of our holidays - we need assistance at airports and this mostly works beautifully.. Many, many thanks, Shirley and Craig
09 August 2019 at 04:21 pmSusan has to be one of the most enthusiastic and knowledgeable travel experts, I know. Always offering great suggestions, a very personalised service and competitive prices, make Susan my go-to girl for all my travel. Susan is an absolute pleasure to work with, I highly recommend her professional services.
02 April 2019 at 06:14 pmI have availed myself of Susan's services for a couple of overseas trips now and am very happy with the results. Susan is always available to give advice when needed and to cheerfully help sort out those little and also those not so little, problems that can crop up with your overseas travel plans. I can recommend her.
25 February 2019 at 05:24 pmI would highly recommend Sue Barton for your travel journey. We had some ideas but Sue made it much better. Myself and my family have just come back from a holiday to Singapore and a 11 night Asian cruise. Sue had organised everything for us including day tours with she recommended and they were all fantastic. Any questions or concerns Sue was more then happy to answer. I am certainly getting Sue to organise my next holiday.
14 January 2019 at 07:39 pmSue thanks for your help with getting me back to UK at short notice. Even though it was a stressful & sad time for me you came up trumps. luv Babs
14 July 2018 at 12:52 pmHi Sue We had a wonderful time in Alice Springs & Uluru , your suggestion to take in a few days in Port Douglas was terrific All the side seeing tours where great , accommodation & flights airport transfers organised for us greatly appreciated We both had a wonderful time Thanks again for your help Best wishes Carole & Albert
24 June 2018 at 11:03 pmThank you Sue for yet again organising our flights - this time to Madrid. You have booked for us several times now and I certainly plan to speak with you again very soon for our next trip. I love the way you are there to 'babysit' our plans and flights, even down to booking us the BEST seats in economy on our last trip, on all our sectors. In the past I would book my own flights on the internet and cross my fingers I had done it right. It is so much better this way, and you are so helpful with little things I might not have known. Many thanks, yet again, Sally & Gordon
14 June 2018 at 07:30 pmThank you Sue ... As Always you have handled all my travel plans with Ease & Grace ... Everything was Perfect! I feel safe & secure in your capable & experienced hands. I had a wonderful stay with my sister in San Francisco and even though it was a last minute decision to go & spend time with her, you made it so easy to get there. We were able to spend quality time when it was most needed. I feel well looked after by more than a travel agent ... a friend who cares and can make things happen. Big Hugs! Krystyna ;-)
09 June 2018 at 12:31 pmThank you Sue for all your your help and extensive expertise in organising and arranging my holiday flights to Cape Town South Africa. Your professional personal touch was greatly appreciated. Leaving my holiday arrangements in your trusting hands lightened the stress load considerably. Thank you again. I most certainly will be calling on your assistance again for my next trip back to Cape Town South Africa in 2019.
16 May 2018 at 08:03 amMy husband & I have travelled annually for well over ten years with Sue and I have the utmost confidence in her organisation skills. Her professionalism and caring attitude is what makes her stand apart from others.Over the years we have had to cancel flights either due to illness or some other reason and after one call to Sue our flights got cancelled & rebooked within a few hours, I could never have done it by myself. Another time due to airport disruption Sue rescheduled via another airline and I arrived back in Sydney around the same time. Sue seems to be always available to deal with any situation and availibility is very very important when one is in a different time zone. Thanks Sue
09 May 2018 at 03:07 pmMeredith recently took a group of her friends away on a cruise here's what she had to say about her experience: From the moment we stepped onboard the Celebrity Solstice we were made to feel welcome with a glass of champagne on arrival. There were plenty of crew present to direct us to our suites. The suites had comfortable beds, nice bathrooms and wide balconies. Plenty of information was provided from the TV, including your account balance and current movies that were free to watch. Food quality and variety was outstanding in all the different cafes and restaurants onboard. Cleanliness was paramount, hand wash was provided at every entrance to all food areas. No shortage of activities and relaxation areas. We have only just returned from our cruise up to Port Douglas and already miss the high quality shows and performances they provided every night. I can’t thank my travel agent Sue Barton enough for recommending this particular cruise line to us. She made the booking process seamless for us and was always willing to answer any questions we had - even if we asked more than once!
30 April 2018 at 06:00 pmDear Sue, thank you for your organisation of our family cruise. The ship catered for all ten of us and our different age groups and we enjoyed the holiday and rest immensely The islands were beautiful and much swimming and snorkelling, zipriding, and sightseeing achieved. We trust you enjoyed your own time out. Keep well and thanks from all of us.
14 December 2017 at 09:56 amHi Sue,We had a wonderful trip thanks principally to your selection of Luxe India as our our local tour organiser who had put together a great mixture of food tour with de rigeur tourist sites. Although the Taj Mahal at sunrise was an obvious choice, the sunset military ceremony at the Indo/Pak border (which was both delightfully amusing and impressive) was one we would not ordinarily have chosen. Although I was slightly apprehensive of the street food tours (having contrived by thoughtlessness to contract dysentery on my last visit 40 years earlier) we experienced no problems but rather had a fascinating and delicious tour of a bewildering variety of dishes and styles of food. We even went to the street restaurant of the originator of the Butter Chicken dish which is actually chicken cooked only in butter with spices rather than the creamy tomato sauce as in our Australian version. We were escorted at all time by friendly and knowledgeable staff be they representatives at the airports, guides and drivers who all made a hectic and fascinating agenda as hassle free and comfortable as we could wish. Whilst we had a number of periods of free time to ourselves, all the activities were smoothly and punctually organised. We had amazingly comprehensive itineraries, travel tips and practical local knowledge before we left and on arrival at our first hotel in Delhi were presented by the head of the local agency with a colour printed bound version including further information on our destinations. Al;together a wonderful experience. Well chosen Sue - all based on a simple question Sue, can you organise us an Indian Food Tour. We will be back for our next holiday.
22 October 2017 at 10:33 amSue's planning and insights into our objectives was faultless. Her recommendations for transfers made our trip far less stressful when arriving fatigued in unfamiliar locations. The quality of the accommodation and tours Sue recommended made our trip all the more enjoyable. We would have no hesitation recommending Sue's services to anyone seeking an unusual or complex itinerary.
01 October 2017 at 05:15 pmHi Sue, Hope you're having a wonderful time and thank you for the voucher. Once again, thank you for your help. Your knowledge and service, ensures that we always travel stress free. Enjoy your well deserved break. Scott Dunstan
17 September 2017 at 12:11 pmHello Sue, just back yesterday. Great trip, thanks for all your help. Feedback is Air Canada was superb, very different from two years ago. Best Business Class pods that I have ever occupied (:-). Also the AC Terminal #1 in Toronto is as good as anything I have seen anywhere that I have been. Qantas was disappointing, rickety old 747s btw SYD and HKG, very old BC seats and abysmal entertainment system - only +ve was the price! All the best, Hugh
17 September 2017 at 12:09 pmWe had an amazing trip for three weeks on the Seabourn Encore - then on to England from Rome but via Helsinki. You really need a great travel agent when there is a complete shut down of all British Air flights. We were about to step on the plane when we were told that all planes were grounded. General chaos abounded. Through sheer luck we managed to find a hotel, where I sent an email to Sue to tell her of our plight. At 4:30am we received a phone call from her to say she had the last two tickets out of Rome the next day"via Helsinki"!!!!! We accepted them gratefully. We all have travel stories to tell and we all have coped with them, but we are on the wrong side of 70yrs and my husband needs assistance these days -not as easy as in our youth. So we can highly recommend Sue and her care and attention. Even via Helsinki she managed to ensure that there was a wheel chair waiting for us. Thankyou++++ Shirley and Craig
04 July 2017 at 09:07 pmSue Commonage Villas. The Apartments were really good. Views/fittings/size Just need coffee pod machines as its too far for a takeaway Starbucks cup in the morning I walked down once to town but it is far too steep for old folk like me. The free cab rides into town were a very clever idea. Restaurants were amazingly good. Weather was good - we were very lucky. The adventurous did canyoning/ rafting/ jumping off high things Nadia had organised the light plane to Milford Sunday and it was a perfect day. All gave it 5 stars Thanks to you from all of us Pete!
18 May 2017 at 02:41 pmDear Sue Thank you very much for planning our wonderful holiday. Everything was perfect. Please thank your Japanese connection as all hotels and tours were exceptional. All instructions were perfect. Thank you one again for your help. Beautiful country, lovely people, very clean and great transport. Thank you once again. Till next time! Marlene
18 May 2017 at 11:13 amSue the trip went well. The hotel was great, nice staff that were very helpful and friendly with everything. They even let us have an extension on my parent’s room so that we could have a late checkout. The location was really good too for the Mong Kok station on the MTR, so made the break very simple to get around. Thanks for the recommendation.
22 November 2016 at 01:18 pmDear Sue, thank you so much for organising our wonderful trip to Canada & Alaska. It was to be a special trip celebrating 50 years of friendship with dear friends. It started with champagne in Sydney & then on our arrival in Canada our rooms were ready despite the early hour. At all times our rooms were adjacent both on land & on the cruise portion of our trip. Everything was just amazing including the ' welcome home ' email awaiting us on our return home. You will hear from us again! Many thanks. Kind regards, Rob & Kay
13 August 2016 at 05:46 pmDear Sue, THANK YOU so very much for arranging our stay at the Shangri-La in Sydney. Not only did we get a upgrade, but a double upgrade - your hard work paid off 10 fold, making our experience even more so pleasant and one most certainly to remember. We most certainly will be using your services again. Thank you for going the extra mile Kindest regards Claudine and Jo and kids
08 July 2016 at 02:02 amDear Sue Thank you for all your hard work and sometimes under stressful circumstances. We had a wonderful time and plan to go back and be a little more adventurous, so you will be hearing from us soon . Would love any thoughts or ideas closer to the time . Fond regards Deb &Adam xx.
01 June 2016 at 10:50 pmHi Sue I just wanted to say thank you for all your help with our trip – I have not had a travel agent make such a difference. Every activity that you organised was fantastic. The absolute highlight of the trip was the street food tour in Saigon – it certainly took us to places we would never have gone on our own, the food was amazing and Tu was very funny. Tu also gave us great restaurant recommendations in other parts of Vietnam which were a great balance between local and tourist I thought it would be helpful if I provide detailed feedback on all of the itinerary… 1. Ho Chi Minh mausoleum – there was a long queue for a very brief (and frankly not very interesting) viewing of the body – it’s certainly respectful to go, but definitely not a highlight 2. Cyclo tour through the old town – interesting, but a little uncomfortable as a fat foreign tourist being pushed around town by an under-nourished local. Also, the cyclists had no English so couldn’t explain what we were seeing. Again, a typical tourist activity so probably necessary 3. Halong bay was spectacular. Overnight was enough time. Tour was good – there was a good balance of activity and downtime. Definitely worth the visit 4. Hue was interesting – tour guide was good – good insights and very personable (though we didn’t like his restaurant recommendations – full of tourists!). The local fishing village was worthwhile – really interesting to see how the local people really live (and some children pulled my husband’s leg hair which was very funny) – it was a little off the beaten track so less impacted by tourists and the pagoda was interesting. Imperial city was fascinating. Definitely worth the visit. 5. Hoi An – we rescheduled the walking tour to the first day – my preference is to arrive and do a tour to get orientated. We didn’t really need Trails after that in Hoi An – one day they literally did nothing, one day they drove us 10 minutes to a cooking class (we stayed in the old town, so they didn’t even need to drive us back) and the last day they drove us to the airport – they could have gone home earlier and spent new year’s eve with their families and we could have caught cabs. The Market Restaurant Cooking Class was excellent – tour of the market, tour of the restaurant, cooking class proper – it was a good balance of activities and outcomes. 6. Saigon –we rescheduled the vespa tour to the first day. This tour was fantastic – actually experiencing life on a motorcycle in the traffic was fascinating (and a little frightening – one of the women on our tour actually got hurt – our drivers were OK). The food was great and our guide was fascinating – he had actually been in the Vietnam war and was very generous in sharing his experiences. We went to a variety of places and really got an insight into local life (poor area street food, local restaurant, local bar, little club). Our Trails tour guide in Saigon was a very young girl – she was lovely, funny, personable but very young and inexperienced – we were happy to have her but you would need to choose her clients carefully in these early days. What she lacked in life experience, she made up for in enthusiasm and knowledge and she was able to adjust when we didn’t like the restaurant she took us to (she walked around town with us) and the Presidential Palace was closed when we were meant to visit (she organised for us to go the following day). The sites we visited were definitely worthwhile, though the war remnants museum made me cry – it was very impactful. Even the FITO museum was much more interesting than we had expected. 7. Mekong Delta – the resort was lovely and has spectacular views over the river – though worth paying the additional amount for a river view rather than a lake view (the lake is small and really it’s a pond in front of the other rooms). The trip to the markets on bicycles was excellent (though I fell off much to the surprise of the locals!) and the cooking class was good. We had a set course lunch when we arrived – the food wasn’t great and we weren’t at all hungry so this was mostly wasted. We also had some money stolen from our room (VND1.5 million - a small amount but thought you should know). Tour the next morning was excellent along the river – we were rowed by an elderly local woman through canals – which was excellent though she had to get out and push! 8. Saigon – on the last day, our flight wasn’t until evening, so we organised a tour to the cu chi tunnels – we went by speed boat. It was reasonably expensive but definitely worthwhile – really interesting to hear how the communists describe the Vietnam war. We didn’t need Trails to provide a driver back to the airport – we are happy to use local cabs when they will provide the same service for the return to the airport (though it was good to say goodbye to Anna). All of the hotels were good, particularly the ones in Saigon and Hue which was very central and had a great view We will be in touch for our next trip when we have at least a timeframe – currently thinking about Cuba Thanks again Gennesee
01 June 2016 at 10:47 pmMay 15 at 8:05pm · Just had a difficult day. My airport Shuttle service arrived very late to pick me up; as a a result I missed my flight to the US. When I called Virgin they told me the whole ticket was forfeit and the re-ticketing would cost me $1850. Susan got onto it and kicked some butt for me at Virgin and had me re-ticketed for tomorrow for $450. Also having her behind me enabled me to get the shuttle service to pay for the taxi fare of $85 home from the airport. Pretty simply put, though I booked the shuttle, I told them she had recommended the company, and I would be telling Sue what happened. The situation with the shuttle company went from them telling me to bugger off, to them paying for the taxi, and agreeing to pick me up tomorrow at no cost. I'm never booking overseas travel online by myself again! Will always use Sue...
01 June 2016 at 10:44 pmSue had organised our first South Pacific Cruise for myself and my husband on the Pacific Eden. Sue was very professional and helpful. Nothing was too hard and able to answer all my enquires quickly. So I was very relaxed, knowing everything was done. We have just come back and had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend for anyone to use Sue for any travel arrangements.
12 January 2016 at 11:23 amEnjoyed a Great weekend 28th November 2015 at the Shangri La Hotel. Couldn't be better looked after. Great room and over looking Opera house. Cocktails at Blu bar followed by Dinner at the Altitude Bar top floor Shangri La Hotel where every dish devine. Attention to detail on every plate so each mouth full was an amazing experience. Would recommend this dinning and all topped of with the best views looking over Sydney Harbour. Staff not only very helpful, knowledgeable about provenance of each dish and shared how put together. Breakfast on level very enjoyable too and staff very attentive. Lovely way for us to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Thank you again Sue Barton for your help booking in and taking care of us. Kathleen and Shane Harper
01 December 2015 at 12:28 pmThanks Sue for organising our family trip to Hamilton Island. Best 7 nights/ 8 days. The Anchorage Apartment was fantastic for us having older kids.We enjoyed our day trip out on the reef and time at White Haven beach with Whitsundays Cruises over two days. Golf cart included made getting around so easy. We enjoyed different restaurants every night, had spa treatments, breakfast and photos with the Koalas at the Wildlife Park, Bowling, Deep sea fishing and loved just enjoying the pool and water sports. If that wasn't enough while having cocktails on One Tree Hill was the most beautiful sunset I think I have ever seen. Hamilton Island is just over all incredibly well set up to enjoy. Thanks again for all your help planning. Would highly recommend you Sue Barton. Kind regards Kathleen Harper and family
13 October 2015 at 03:28 pmThere’s a first for everything. I had misread our itinerary and thought we were leaving one day later than we actually were. So when I went to check our tickets for baggage allowance at 5pm I discovered, to my massive horror, that we were NOT leaving the next day, but in 4 hours time. And we hadn't packed. Yes, I panicked. Then I called Sue. She calmly helped me sort the situation, checked us in online, organised a taxi and supported me while I was running around packing. Remember the passports! In the end we made it. And had a fantastic holiday in Sweden with a stop over in Dubai. It’s in situations like this I really, really appreciate working with someone like Sue around my travels. Not only is she there during the exciting bit of planning the trip, she also makes sure you actually get there. I can very highly recommend Sue for all your travel needs, she’s a rock that you can lean on for sure. Thank you so much Sue! /Sara
01 September 2015 at 09:10 amHi Sue We had a fabulous trip, and I can certainly see why Fiji is all about the islands. We had a lovely surprise with an upgrade to a beachfront 2 room villa at the intercontinental (maybe you had something to do with that)? Thank you if you did. Loved castaway, although we were right at the back of the island which was a long walk with the kids but nice for privacy. Great food both places and eva especially was popular with the Fijians. Thanks again for arranging our trip, will certainly be going back, Kind regards Fiona
10 May 2015 at 12:54 pmHI Sue Thanks for organising our travel. Everything went very smoothly, including the transfers that you suggested. Our accommodation on the Isle of Pines was not organised by you but I thought I would give you some feedback about it for future bookings. We stayed at Gite Nataiwatch. We had a comforatble cabin with bathroom, fridge, double and single beds and a verandah overlooking the garden. The place is clean, both cabins and garden, and is peaceful and quiet. There is free wi-fi and an ipad in every room. The food is well cooked, if limited. Food and drinks are expensive, as everywhere in New Caledonia. Gite Nataiwatch is well situated; I think it is the best location in Isle of Pines. The beach is one of the best for snorkelling, there are two hotels within 10 minutes walk along the beach, and another one about 1km along the road. so it is easy to eat at different places. This is important given the difficulty in getting around the Isle of Pines. The track up the 'mountain' on the Isle of PInes starts near the Gite, and the old prison and an all -day grocery shop are a short bike ride away. You can hire bikes at the gite. I would recommend Gite Nataiwatch because of its pleasant environment and its location. The staff speak a little English; enough to get by, and things are usually well organised. I hope this information is useful regards Jenny
10 May 2015 at 12:51 pmJust back form a great 5 night escape in beautiful Fiji. We had never been before, so had no clue really as to what we wanted. Sue organised the perfect romantic getaway in a small island resort with an ocean view bure and full meal plan. All we had to do was to produce the right voucher at the right time, and then relax, relax, relax... Sue was brilliant in helping us get clear on what we wanted, and then organise just that for us. She's very helpful, asks the right questions and come sup with brilliant suggestions. I can highly recommend using Sue for your next holiday!
12 March 2015 at 03:32 pmWow! where do I start. Sue has been amazing. Due to my Mum being ill with MND and subsequently passing away, we have had to make 3 trips in 12 months to the UK. Two of those trips with my wife and kids and one an emergency dash. Sue has been spectacular, she has looked after us from beginning to end. Found us highly competitive deals and flights that worked for our travel arrangements. She has been patient and she has turned things round at the drop of a hat. Thanks Sue, you really are great at what you do and using a travel agent such as yourself really puts your mind at ease when you have soooo many other things that require your focus and strength.
15 December 2014 at 11:21 amHi Sue, Just wanted to say thanks again for getting our holiday back on track after my problems regards the expired passport. To rearrange the entire holiday in double quick time over a weekend was a truly personal service. Now let's hope the sun shines!

27 November 2014 at 01:53 pmCeleste Lowe What an amazing service this is!! I cant recommend Sue highly enough. Recently Sue helped me plan a trip to Europe. It was to be my trip of a lifetime. I had carried out some searches myself on the internet but there were just so many choices that I just didn't have the time or knowledge to know what was best. I was a bit reluctant at first to go to a travel agent as I thought it would be a bit more expensive. How wrong I was! Sue met me at a café near my work which was so convenient. We talked over coffee and a light meal and her knowledge of where to go, what activities to do whilst in Europe and where to stay was comprehensive. And when we worked out the prices, they were actually either less than or comparable to those I had seen on the internet, and my trip was tailored to me! It would be what I really wanted not a mass market package deal. I left our meeting feeling so relieved and confident that Sue had helped me design a trip that I wanted and had dreamed of. Luckily, Sue suggested that I take out a $99 insurance policy, just in case. Now this is something I would never have thought of myself if booking online. That turned out to be the BEST $99 I have ever spent! Unfortunately due to an illness I had to cancel my trip. I was devastated. I contacted Sue and she immediately set the ball rolling, cancelling my tour and accommodation taking the stress out of me doing all that 'stuff' myself. I was thinking there was no way I would get all my money back. Sue contacted just hours later and told me that the full amount would be refunded directly into my bank. All because of that $99. The relief I felt made my day. And sure enough, the very next day the money was in my account! Sue's professionalism, knowledge and caring attitude made the whole experience of organizing my trip so much easier. I felt like an individual and that is something I never felt trolling the internet. Thank you so much Sue!!
