Newcastle’s newest hotel The Crystalbrook Kingsley. WOW such a fantastic transformation for an old iconic Newcastle landmark, which once housed Newcastle Council Administration offices, into this luxurious 5* hotel.
The new fit out has been sensitive to Newcastle and the Hunter’s heritage using locally reclaimed timbers and local trades people, the canary theme you see throughout the rooms is acknowledgement of the City’s Mining history. While The bars, restaurants and function rooms are all named after people who are significant to the building and the hunter. 80% of the food and wine in the hotel is sourced locally and no more than 3 hours from away.
With a strong focus on sustainability everything is made from recycled materials, no single use plastics. The only paper in the hotel is the recycled notebook beside your bed….oh…and the bathroom!
Roundhouse Restaurant and Romburg’s Bar found on Ninth floor – another WOW moment as you step out of the elevator - the view is simply spectacular. Sweeping views across the harbour and port, right round to Mereweather and beyond. The only place to be in Newcastle as the sun goes down at the end of a busy day, cocktail in hand. I can personally recommend the Bushland Daiquiri!
