North To Alaska

A month or so ago we thought our first cruise again was going to be in October but we have been lucky enough to receive a Travel Agents familiarisation cruise with Holland America to Alaska in June. Follow my blog as I detail all that is now required to travel overseas & cruise along with great pics & stories as we cruise out of Vancouver on June 8  to Glacier Bay National Park, Skagway, Ketchickan & Juneau after a day in Vancouver

Flying Air Canada as they are one of the few airlines with direct flights from Sydney to Vancouver. Flight time 14 hours. You no longer need to have a PCR test to fly to Canada however you do need a PCR test within 72 hrs to board a cruise ship or if you are transitting through USA.

First stop, register for Digital International Vaccination Certificate then apply for Canadian Entry permit, before flight complete Verifly & ArriveCan app & finally get PCR test night before flight. This has to be printed as well as on your phone.

Using Holland Americas Navigator app we have booked a couple of specialty restaurants onboard one paid for with their Have It All promotion along with a shore excursion in each port. Mendenhall Glacier Explore, Great Alaskan Lumberjack show & rail trip to White Pass on the US/ Canadian border. Have It All has $100 pp credit to Shore Excursions plus Drink package for entire Cruise.

Checked in with Holland America & print boarding pass & Luggage Tags. Yeah , we have 12pm boarding time.

Stay tuned as we plan our pack & head North To Alaska.
