About Sue
I love to travel and I'm extremely enthusiastic about providing amazing and memorable travel experiences to each and every one of my valued clients. In total I have travelled to over 60 countries and I've worked in London, Munich and Australia selling travel for almost 30 years. I have extensive travel experience having worked in retail, corporate, group and conference travel planning for a large chain and then managing a small boutique agency.
Having studied Ancient History, I simply love archaeology and have travelled extensively in the Middle East, West Asia, Indian subcontinent, Sri Lanka, South-East Asia and Central Asia. I've also visited Turkey and Egypt many times but never Morocco (it's on my list), as is Libya as I desperately want to see Leptis Magna. I was lucky enough to see Syria and spend time in Aleppo before the more recent conflicts and destruction of so much of the country's history and culture.
I love train travel; I met my husband on the Trans-Siberian and since then have travelled on The Ghan, Blue Train, the old Australian Eastern and Oriental that went up Queensland coast, the Savannahlander, Rocky Mountaineer, the European train network, Indian and even Burmese trains.
I have first-hand experience in adventure travel as well as spending years selling it both from London and back in Australia. When younger I travelled overland in a double decker bus from London to Kathmandu but more recently have discovered the joys of more comfortable forms of travel and have discovered the pleasures of cruising. I have experienced a few of the incredible river cruises in Egypt and China, have cruised with Holland America, Princess, Captain Cook, Celebrity, Crystal and Star Cruisesand I have just returned from a truly memorable trip on Silver Discoverer for 10 days from Darwin to Broome, exploring the wonderful Kimberleys. I loved it so much, I want to go and do it again!
In addition to this, I have been to many of the sub Saharan African countries but still high on my list is Namibia. My favourite African experience so far is walking with cheetahs and lions in Zambia closely followed by time in Lake Kariba in Zimbabwe. I am also a big fan of Mauritius, this wonderful destination in my view has the best features of African, Arabian, Indian and European history, culture and cuisine along with fabulous beaches. If like me, you like spices and spicy food, I would recommend the island and the products of Rodrigues; one of the smaller islands that are part of Mauritius.
I am an enthusiastic traveller and enjoy sharing the joys of travel with my clients.
