About GINA
I joined MTA - Mobile Travel Agents because I wanted the luxury of being my own boss, in an industry that I love. Due to the amazing technical support MTA offers, I can keep up to date with the latest deals and options for my clients, and myself! I can choose my own working hours, to suit my family commitments and I can be flexible with my clients and chat at a time that suits them.
Having the travel bug myself, it is so easy to be enthusiastic about helping a client plan their holiday. I always have a family holiday on the go. Europe is my favourite destination, I absolutely love Paris and London, but always try to add a completely new destination for each trip. That's not to say I don't do Asia as well, having been to Bali, Singapore, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and lived in Malaysia. I have also visited parts of the USA and Canada, favourites being Las Vegas, New York and Quebec (a little bit of France in Canada).
I joined MTA - Mobile Travel Agents in June 2007, just prior to moving back to my home state of Tasmania. Before this, I worked in the travel industry for over 15 years, initially with a Time Share company on the Gold Coast, then with Ansett Australia, until their sad demise. After that, I was lucky enough to be employed by Qantas and worked in International Reservations for almost 7 years until my move back to Tasmania.
I thoroughly enjoy my job! I love helping my clients (who usually become friends) plan their holiday, especially adding all the helpful little tips and tricks I have learned along the way.
I have booked clients holidays to every continent on the planet - including Antarctica! (Thanks Alice)
I am a mother of 2, my son was born in 1992, my daughter in 2003 (my daughter had her first flight at 3 weeks old, and has literally been around the world several times since).
I am a very proud Nanny to my Grandson, born in 2022. So I understand travelling with children of all ages, and more recently, multi-generational travel.
I believe we have the perfect work/life/community/family balance, that so many working Mums (and Dads) seek.
Working with MTA - Mobile Travel Agents gives me access to the very best travel suppliers in the world, and the most wonderful support staff. If you can dream it, I will listen...and together we can make that travel dream of yours, a reality.
