New York - February 2013
I recently had the pleasure of travelling to New York City with a couple of my girlfriends. From the moment we touched down it was love at first sight! My love for a place I wanted to visit for so long, and I could just sense the excitement in the air as soon as we disembarked from the aircraft.
As we taxied into the terminal at La Guardia, Donald Trump’s private aircraft was there on the tarmac for all to see, and it was a great omen to what was the beginning of a fabulous trip.
I highly recommend visiting New York and one week is probably enough. To be able to explore Rockefeller Centre, Broadway, the Twin Towers memorial, Times Square was just amazing.
The highlight for me was lunch in Central Park at Loeb’s Boathouse! The food was exquisite, the service - superb, the company - brilliant, and the outlook in February - amazing. Seeing everyone out and about on a crisp winter’s day, the boats on the edge of the lake, the bottoms frozen into the ice, the warmth of the fire inside the restaurant was one of the loveliest experiences I think I will ever have.
