Australia has Surfers Paradise and Thailand has Phuket, but to top it off, England has Blackpool.
Next time you are heading to the UK, I say get out of London and see some other parts of te country and never forget Scotland and Wales. But right now I want to let you know the treasure that Blackpool is. Up in the northern part of England not far from Liverpool or Manchester, Blackpool is a place I love to visit overnight when I am in the region, or even for a few hours (as its so close to everywhere).
It really is the quintessential English sea side resort, from having donkey rides on the beach, people wearing "Kiss Me Quick" hats, going on some amazing thrill rides at Pleasure Beach or just popping into their amusement arcades to see what you can win. These arcades are really a sight to be seen.
It's like Vegas for kids, but instead of having cheap booze, it's all about cheap tea. I love this photo highlighting tea for only 10p.
Also while I'm there I always insist on playing the smaller version of ten pin bowling where if you do a bad bowl, it laughs at you.
At night the place is a hot spot littered with bars and top night clubs.
So next time you are heading to England make sure you remember to keep a day free and go to Blackpool, trust me, you will have a blast.
