#SeeSantaMonica
In February I was lucky enough to win a spot on a Delta and Virgin Airlines Famil to Santa Monica.
Highlights:
- Malibu Winery Tour
- LA Lakers Game
- Rides at Pacific Pier
- Segaway Tour to Venice Beach
- Attending the Gourmandise Cooking School
- Visit to the Getty Museum
We only had 4 nights but there was no spare time.
I inspected many hotels and had the privilege of staying at both The Viceroy and The Le Meridien Delfina (where I"m going back to in September!).
I dined at many hotels and restaurants including the amazing Huntley Hotel, Fairmont, Shutters on the Beach, North Italia (in the promenade amazing!), and Dukes Malibu.
This would be my 3rd visit to Santa Monica and each time there is something new to discover. The new rail system takes you to Downtown within 40mins and it only costs you $1.70. Great if you are wanting to catch a basketball game or concert at the Staples Centre, also make time if you are heading downtown and check out the Grammy Museum.
Pacific Park at the Pier is always fun, brings out the child in you, a must is a ride on the Ferris Wheel.
I even attempted beach yoga, whilst dolphins swam by.
Segwaying to Venice Beach is a great way to get around and explore, the local guides are great.
There a plenty of new shops and centres that have opened, loads of restaurants to choose from, Santa Monica has a great coastal vibe with options for everyone. Close proximity to LAX, a great place to end your California holiday.
